Do you want to do more for your own and your friends’ wellbeing? Then attend the free ‘Look after your friend’-training!

Your time as a student can be a lot of fun but it can also be difficult sometimes. A lot of students who experience problems regarding their wellbeing, such as stress, depression or anxiety, first turn to their friends to talk about it before talking to anyone else. Of course, you also want to be there for your friends and this might be difficult sometimes. To help students in dealing with this kind of situation a training has been set up by the psychologists of the UT, in collaboration with the SU.

For Stress the Student Union organizes a training on the 14th and 21st of November. The training consists of 2 sessions of both 1,5 hours, which are complementing and can therefore not be followed separately. During these two sessions, the following topics will be discussed:

  • Practical tips on looking after your friend
  • Supporting a friend through the student journey
  •  Understanding your friend’s diagnosis
  • Knowing your services: getting professional help in- and outside of the UT
