What is the Young Lady Business Academy?

The Young Lady Business Academy (YLBA) is an initiative selflessly founded by businesswoman Elske Doets. With this initiative, she organizes free Academy weeks packed with inspiring masterclasses. The Academy helps young women (aged 15 to 24, and of all school levels) to grow more confident and make sharp choices. Both for themselves, as well for society that becomes so much 'richer' from women in crucial positions and moves faster with those women towards gender equality.

Who is the Academy for?

You can enroll in the Academy if you:

• understand Dutch;

• identify yourself as a woman;

• are between 15 and 24 years old;

• have a professional dream that you want to pursue.

Where and when is the Academy?

The next Academy is from 19 to 23 June 2023 at the Erasmus Center for Entrepreneurship. In case you do not live nearby Rotterdam we will try to find a host family for you. Participation is free.

How can you register?

You can register until 30 May 2023 at the latest via the website: https://www.ylba.nl/

 1) You send your CV and a personal motivation (300-500 words) about your professional dream. Everything is possible. 

2) On the 8th or 9th of June, you will talk about your professional dream in a 5-minute pitch. The pitch is followed by a conversation of approximately 10 minutes.

3) A selection* of the applications will be invited to follow the Academy.

*Most who apply are also admitted to the Academy.

Please note: the Academy is organized twice a year. Can't make it in June (edition 11)? Then you can also register for the Academy in November (edition 12). Please indicate this clearly when you register.
