Do you want to learn more about high tech solutions in a wide range of industries? 📑📚🧐 On the 30th September we will visit Innovatie Cluster Drachten (ICD), which is a collaboration between high tech companies in the neighbourhood of Drachten. 💻📡 ICD works together on new innovations and recruiting of talent. We will leave with the bus at 8:30 and return to the UT around 17:30.
In this excursion we will receive talks from five different companies and two factory tours! First, we will hear from Beenen, a company that focuses on the automation off Control systems. The next lecture will be from XparVision, XparVision is specialized in implementing high-tech sensor and robot technology for the packaging glass industry. These two lectures will take place at DB Kiestra, from whom we will receive a factory tour. DB Kiestra makes laboratory instruments for the medical industry.
After the factory tour from DB Kiestra we the excursion continues to ASTRON. ASTRON will give a lecture and a factory tour, they are leading in radio technology and their lecture will be about big data. The two other lectures we will listen to at ASTRON are from Philips and Resato. Both will be talking about remote Sensoring. Philips is a famous company that produces a lot of part for consumer health products like shavers, wake up lights and toothbrushes. Resato produces smart solutions for high pressure applications, they mainly work in the oil-, gas- and maritime industry.
